Learning to Trust Your Instincts

with Russ Hudson and Cheryl Richardson

Starts January 28, 2021

Join Russ and Cheryl for a yearlong, in-depth study of the Instinctual Variants of the Enneagram. Exploring the instincts helps us to understand where we habitually focus our attention and energy – for better or worse – and what we need to do differently to create a stronger sense of security, to enjoy deeper more meaningful connections with others, and to experience more energy and aliveness in everyday life.

The instincts represent the basic driving forces that operate throughout our daily life. By observing ourselves through the lens of our instinctual behaviors, we learn about how well we take care of our basic needs, how we navigate relationships, whether or not we cultivate meaningful connections with others, and how able we are to welcome change and take risks. The instincts are clearly defined and observable in their own right, independent of your enneagram type. When developed and consciously balanced, life not only improves dramatically on a practical level, we gain access to higher states of consciousness that allow us to operate with more clarity, wisdom, and love.

Over the course of a year, Russ and Cheryl will host monthly zoom classes where you’ll learn:

  • What the instinctual variants of the enneagram are and how they influence the quality of your life.
  • How your current instinctual patterns are being run by unconscious programming.
  • What your personal relationship is to each of the three instincts – Self Preservation, Social, and Sexual.
  • How your enneagram type may be distorting the expression of your instincts.
  • How your undeveloped instincts get you into trouble.
  • How to identify your “blind spots” – the instincts that need more of your time and attention.
  • The role instincts play in your personal and professional relationships.
  • The actions you can take to address your undeveloped instincts so you’re able to balance security, connection, and aliveness in your daily life.

Each month Russ and Cheryl will host a two-hour class that includes teaching and coaching. At the end of each class, you’ll be assigned specific homework to be completed before the next session. This homework is designed to help you make measurable, positive changes to your quality of life.

Who should attend:

Committed students who are ready to question some of their core assumptions about themselves and their lives, and who are willing to do the necessary work to learn and employ new behaviors that will generate greater health and wholeness.

The fee for this yearlong program is $595 with a limited number of scholarships available (you can email [email protected] with your request). Classes are held on the last Thursday of every month from 2pm ET to 4pm ET (11am PT to 1pm PT) and will be recorded and provided to guests who are unable to attend. November’s class will be held on the 18th due to Thanksgiving in the US.
