My Daily Affirmation Cards

I’m happy to announce that Hay House has just released my new card deck, My Daily Affirmation Cards.  I love combining words with art and this time I’ve used favorite images from my dear friend and inspirational photographer, Melissa Olson, who loves animals and the beauty of nature as much as I do.  This deck contains cards in seven categories – Relationships, Prosperity, Work, Physical Health, Environment, Spiritual Health, and Emotional Health, and it’s designed to help you focus your attention (and intention) on the areas you’d most like to change or grow.

Two years ago I developed a morning ritual of writing one page of spontaneous affirmations in my journal as an uplifting way to start my day.  I’d make myself a cup of tea, find a sunny spot in my home (whenever I could), and sit down and write what came to mind.  I’ve learned over the years that it’s the feeling an affirmation gives you that fuels its expression in your life so, over time, I crafted a list of affirmations that made me feel hopeful, excited, and instantly inspired. Then, I’d choose five to seven that represented the areas I wanted to focus on the most, and I would think about them, doodle them throughout the day, sing them to myself while driving in the car, or repeat them like mantras when I felt stuck or in a funk.

I think of the affirmation process as installing new, powerful messages into the subconscious mind so they can begin to materialize in the outer world.  And that’s exactly what started to happen.  One of the affirmations I used frequently, for instance, was, “I love working in creative collaboration with smart, conscious people who want to have fun and bring something great to the world!”  Sure enough, within six months, two perfect opportunities to work with people I respect and admire showed up.  And that was only the beginning.  One year after starting this ritual, I could see that several affirmations had come to life!

It’s my hope that this new deck makes it easy for you to use the power of affirmations in your own life.  And, to make it fun and affordable, we’re launching the deck with a “2 for 1 special” in our webstore.  That way you can share a deck with someone or give away individual cards from the second deck.  I put a card in every piece of correspondence that leaves my office – they go into bills, birthday cards and thank you notes, packages, etc. This special will run through midnight on Monday, August 16th and you can find them here.  I hope you find them useful and inspiring!

Take Action Challenge

This week, try using the “Universal Card” affirmation in the new deck and see what shows up in your life.  Here you go:

My life is a constant stream of miracles.”

This week’s video is about how to be alone and it’s beautiful.  You can find it here.
