Week 45 – Honoring my father
He gave me life.
He taught me to give to those less fortunate than me.
He made me promise to always remember where I came from.
And his generous spirit touched the lives of so many.
I carry his blood, his genes, his strength and resilience. And I am blessed beyond measure because of it.
This weekend I said goodbye to my father – at least in his physical form. And while my heart breaks, my soul rejoices, knowing he has been released from pain and suffering.
Thank you for taking this journey with us over the last couple of years. Your thoughts and prayers have meant so much to me, to my family, and to my dad, who read and appreciated your posts on my Facebook page.
My father has now officially become the president of my “Spiritual Board of Directors” and I can only imagine what’s in store.
Rest in peace, Dad #x2665;.
Video of the Week
This week I share a beautiful video by Elaine Mansfield who talks about losing her husband and using the power of ritual to help us grieve. I found it helpful, and I hope you do, too. You can watch it here.
