Week 51 – Happy Holidays: Important news for next year
I should know better than to make assumptions. Thanks to the helpful people in our community, I’ve heard from employees at Borders Books, as well as independent stores, that “The Art of Extreme Self Care,” is now available in several places. Thanks for keeping me up to date. You can learn more, here.
In this week’s newsletter below, I’ve included information on a few events scheduled for early next year as well as a couple of fun and inspiring video links for you to enjoy.
I hope you have a wonderful holiday!

Topic of the Week
As we come to the end of 2008 and head toward the New Year, I’m looking forward to having the chance to support you in raising the stakes when it comes to your self-care in 2009. The Life Makeover newsletter series celebrates its tenth year anniversary on January 1st, and I plan to continue to communicate with you in this way, along with speaking at some great events throughout the year about the ideas in my new book.
We’ll be updating our schedule this week, and I wanted to respond to the emails we’ve received about the events mentioned in last week’s newsletter.
First, I now have more info (and a link to register) for my year long Hay House live web event that begins on Wednesday, January 7th from 7 to 9 pm ET. This monthly class is based on each chapter of my new book, and together we’ll practice the art of extreme self care in fun and challenging ways. Please note that the first class is the only time during the year that the event will be held on a Wednesday. The rest of the dates are on Thursday evenings (you’ll find the full schedule and course info here). Each class is $20, or you can purchase the whole year for only $99 (that’s a $141 savings!).
For more info, and to register for the whole series, visit here. If you’d like to register for one class at a time, you can sign up here. This event is run by Hay House and open to listeners around the world either live or through archives. Since we are not running the event, we are unable to answer any questions about registration. You’ll need to communicate with them directly here.
The next event is the kick-off, live evening sponsored by Jabberwocky Books in Newburyport, MA, on Friday, January 16th at 7pm. There will be a $5 admission fee for those of you who choose to bring your own book (to help cover the cost of the event), or you can get in free with a purchase directly from Jabberwocky (before or during the event). To get tickets and/or to order your book, call (978) 465-9359.
The third event to plan for is our January telegathering where I’ll be joined by Dr. Chris Northrup to talk about her new book, The Secret Pleasures of Menopause. There’s nothing like a little pleasure to start the New Year off on the right foot :). You can learn more about her book here.
There’s lots more on the horizon — a weekend at Canyon Ranch in Lenox, Mass at the end of January, a cruise, and several Hay House conferences. Check out our schedule page later this week for more details!
Finally, I wanted to leave you with two great videos for a little holiday enjoyment. See our “Take Action Challenge” below.
Happy, Happy Holidays!
Take Action Challenge
During the hustle and bustle of the next two weeks, kick back and take some time to enjoy these two videos.
Here’s an inspiring video of a young boy with the voice of an angel. If you love dogs, you’ll love this video of a young girl and her dancing friend as they have a whole lot of fun. Enjoy!
